Mannix Moves
A Choice of Evils - Episode #86
Peggy gets kidnaped! Not a good thing to do because Mannix
does not like that. He actually punches out Art! (Art
was grilling him about what was _really_ going on.) And
then to show how sharp Peggy is everyday when the kidnapers take her
picture holding that day's newspaper, Peggy shows combinations
of numbers with her fingers that tell Mannix the zip code of
where she is being held at.
Run Till Dark - Episode #83
Peggy says "Yes sir Mr Mannix" on the phone and that's how
Joe knows that bad guys must be in the office, because they
are on a first-name basis with each other.
Murder Times Three - Episode #82
Mannix is working on three cases at once. He doesn't narc
on the one biker guy - that guy tries to help him out but
he still has to kick some biker doper butt. Then the bikers
help him out of respect for his fighting moves.
The Glass Trap - Episode #75
Unfortunately there is no more whirling panty shot in the
opening sequence. The style of the show and the photography
are different with this episode as well. Mannix's old buddy
Robert Foxworth is lying his ass off but it takes Mannix
a while to figure it out (Peggy provides the key piece of
evidence). Also Mannix shows that he has soul when the
AA mom comes to see him to discuss about why does the evil
white guy keep getting off?
The Color of Murder - Episode #74
Diane Keaton is in this one and boy is she young. Mannix gets pissed and
says "I think you're lying" and "you're still lying!".
Go Joe Go! Joe doesn't cotton to liars.
The Other Game In Town - Episode #68
Rich Little is in this one. It starts off in Vegas.
It's another one where a guy goes down in his plane
but he's not really dead. In one scene a bad guy pulls
a gun on Mannix while he is in his Dodge and he backs
up and snatches the gun away from the guy all at once.
He tells the guy "you're lucky all you lost was a
souvenir" (it was a Luger??).
Overkill - Episode #67
This is a strange one. Someone copies the MO of a psycho killer
and tries to sneak in a murder of their own.
Bang, Bang, You're Dead - Episode #66
Mannix helps the little girl that overheard the mobsters
plotting a murder. Mannix does not like it when people
mess with little kids.
Who Killed Me? - Episode #37
Yvonne Craig (Batgirl) is on this show and boy is she
evil. The artist girl (Susan Howard) is really cute,
and she tells Mannix right away that as soon as she
heard that her boyfriend had died (this guy is not dead:
he has hired Mannix to find out who killed him and Mannix
is acting like he is dead. Oh yeah, he is married - to
Batgirl..) that she realized that the relationship was
over a long time ago. Then she goes on to ask Mannix
if he would like to try something new, with somebody
new, and then she puts a liplock on him. But he doesn't
kiss back, and so she says "I'm sorry". But he says "why
be sorry", and then she says "you are so gentle with
the walking wounded". It was a really touching scene.
And guess what? She and Mannix went driving off in
Mannix's convertible (Dodge) at the end of the show.
Go, Joe go!
War of Nerves - Episode #50
When the dad starts saying "oh my daughter is OK and
upstairs asleep in bed" Mannix knows right away
that he is lying and totally busts him on it
(she was riding her horse and saw the bad guys planting
the nerve gas so they kidnaped her).
Only One Death to a Customer - Episode #46
Loretta Swit was putting the moves on Mannix and he was going
along with it. They were "partners" but not yet "buddies". Then
she double-crossed him, but he 'neglected' to put bullets in his
gun which her boyfriend had taken from him and was ordering her
to shoot Mannix with. So then he beat the boyfriend down, and
Loretta Swit tried to get smooth and hook back up with Mannix, but
he was like: "no we can't be partners, but how about pen pals?".
